Inflation in European Union countries that use the Euro currency fell again but still hit a painful 8.5% Calling all crab lovers visiting Ocean City on Maryland’s Eastern Shore! Whether you’re looking for the best blue crabs, the best crab cakes, the best crab restaurants, or the best all-you-can-eat crabs in Ocean City, MD – this guide is for you!

I have devoured many, many bushels of Maryland blue crabs in OC. I’m lucky, my husband’s family lives next door and we visit often. As a local, they know the best places for fresh seafood and the best crab restaurants in Ocean City, MD. Our nephew and my sister-in-law have worked on some of the crab houses on our list!

And while seeing family is our first priority, eating crabs, or “choosing” as the locals say, is our second. Roaming Assateague Island is number three and eating Thrasher’s Boardwalk Fries on the beach is number four. The figures that follow are icing on the cake.

All You Can Eat Crab Legs Near Me

For me, the best crab restaurant in Ocean City has to have the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) blue crabs steamed in Old Bay Seasoning. If you Google “best crabs near me”, I’m guessing you’re looking for this too. Crab restaurants commonly call this a crab feast. But beware—not all treats are all you can eat.

At the Ocean City Crab House, butcher paper covers the table so servers can pour out trays of steamed Maryland blue crab. Be prepared to eat with your hands and make a mess. Buckets, seafood crackers, hammers and paper towels are all part of this East Coast experience.

One of the top spots for a traditional crab feast, Crab Bag should be on your list of crab restaurants in Ocean City, Maryland.

When I go for a feast, I look for sweet crabs with lots of meat. That’s all I really want – and maybe a piece of local corn. So the side doesn’t matter much to me. Their AYCE Crab Feast in a Crab Bag comes with french fries, monkey bread and corn on the cob. Spicy steamed prawns are available for an additional charge.

Snow Crab Legs

If you don’t have anyone who eats crab, the extensive menu promises something tasty for everyone, even the little ones.

Hooper’s is one of our favorite spots for a cold beer and some of the best steamed crab in Ocean City. In fact, it was my father-in-law’s choice for their 50th wedding anniversary—a crab fest for the whole family.

Hooper’s outdoor deck overlooks the bay and their floating bar, Sneaky Pete’s. As one of the Ocean City MD crab houses, their feast is old school traditional: steamed crabs, steamed shrimp, fried chicken, corn on the cob and hush puppies.

If you don’t know hush puppies, think fried cornbread nuggets. They can be quite filling, so don’t scarf down this southern staple too soon; Wait until you see your waiter carrying your large tray of crabs.

Big All You Can Eat Crabs For A Great Price!

Waterman’s was the first place I ate all-you-can-eat crab in Ocean City, Maryland. At this reliable seafood house, the crabs come whole and the service is friendly and attentive. No one likes to wait too long for the next tray of crabs, and here you never do!

Waterman’s Crab Feast comes with the same sides as Hooper’s. Aside from the fact that Waterman uses more seasoning on their crabs, the biggest difference between the two is the atmosphere. As a much larger venue on the bay, Hooper’s has beautiful views and a more raucous vibe than the more subdued dining room at Waterman’s Restaurant.

In addition to some of the best crabs Ocean City MD has to offer, Waterman’s has one of the best seafood markets in town. It’s a great place to sample a variety of local seafood and a selection of prepared sides like coleslaw and macaroni salad.

When you say you’re looking for the best crab in Ocean City, Maryland, most people will think of you as blue crab. However, this West Ocean City restaurant also serves a snow crab feast. Let me just say, at Crab Alley you really need to do a good job studying the menu.

Higgins Crab House South Is Pet Friendly

The menu lists three different types of crab feast. One of them has snow crab legs, which are quite different from blue crabs. Just beware that in Crab Alley, you can’t eat their “feast”. But don’t despair: they also have two types of AYCE blue crab options on the menu. One comes with traditional sides; Second comes my style, just crabs and corn.

A short stroll from the boardwalk, you’ll find another of Ocean City Maryland’s best crab houses, the BLU Crabhouse and Raw Bar (note, not the BLU Crab House).

In addition to typical Eastern Shore fare, this local eatery also offers two all-you-can-eat blue crab feasts. Feast No. 1 includes cheddar biscuits and corn on the cob. Feast No. 2 adds steamed shrimp and Old Bay chicken to the goodies included in the first feast.

Some of the best crab in Ocean City, MD is not served in all-you-can-eat style. Sometimes, they are not even served as whole steamed blue crabs. Eastern Shore crab specialties include Maryland crab soup, crab dip, lump crab cakes, crab imperials, pizza, pasta and more.

Places To Pick Crabs Around The Dmv

As you may have guessed, OCM stands for Ocean City, Maryland, and a few blocks north of the Route 90 bridge on Coastal Highway, this place is indeed a great option for steamed crabs, Ocean City MD style. If your style is the casual, no-frills kind — and when eating crab, frills aren’t usually on anyone’s must-have list.

Options for blue crab are dozen, half bushel and bushel; You select the size of the crabs and the menu shows the approximate number you will get to choose from. Busy steamers in the kitchen also turn out tasty snow crabs, shrimp, mussels and clams. Crab dip is delish!

The Crabcake Factory is definitely one of the best crab restaurants Ocean City MD has to offer – and yet they don’t serve steamed crabs. You still get to eat tasty crabs—you just don’t pick them. Instead, you’ll find a menu full of the tastiest crab concoctions you can imagine!

As you might expect, this crab dish includes incredible homemade crabcakes. They’re made with generous amounts of deliciously sweet lump crab meat, and the crabcake sandwich was recently named Maryland’s best by USA Today. I haven’t tasted every crab cake in Maryland, but I was definitely impressed with what was served here! And the crab cakes are just the beginning!

Unless, of course, you start with the amazing cream of crab soup, crab quesadilla, crab dip, crab cheesy fries—stop me if I’m getting warm. Entrees include locally caught rockfish crab imperial and crab-stuffed lobster tail! I’m telling you, if you love crabs, you’ll love something here!

Harborside is a family favorite. No matter how much time any family has to get back to the shore, we make it a point to eat at this place at least a few times during our stay. It’s relaxed, casual dining with great food, friendly staff, cool atmosphere and good drinks. But I have to admit that the only crab dishes on the menu are the crab dip and the crabcake sandwich. Both of them
