The place to come for breakfast in Brooklyn – check out those buttery and creamy scrambled eggs for good measure. We absolutely loved Five Leaves – with its indoor/outdoor feel, it’s the perfect spot for a summer brunch in the sunshine. There are queues around the block for ricotta pancakes served with dark butter, bananas, blueberries, strawberries and 100% pure maple syrup. I personally adored their delicious breakfast bowl with freeke, poached egg and spinach – a warm, filling bowl that will put a smile on your face. Don’t forget to order an iced latte, they serve some of the best in NYC.
Whey They Say: An elegant blend of eye-catching design, unique hotel signatures, and warm service are just a few of the things to expect at the swanky Langham Place on Fifth Avenue. Discover sharp metropolitan style that reflects the dynamic and vibrant spirit of the Big Apple; Nestled between Bryant Park and the Empire State Building, this hotel’s location couldn’t be better.
What we say: If you’re looking for a luxurious breakfast in the Upper East, this is the place to come. The hotel’s I Fiori restaurant is a Michelin-starred establishment – run by chef Michael White, the restaurant celebrates the French and Italian Riviera in a serious way. Breakfast here is excellent; Their homemade granola is nutty and super tasty, while the Lobster Benedict is a truly decadent and delicious starter. Get involved.

What we say: Sure, it’s a little touristy, but with killer views and the craziest, most extravagant buffet you’ll ever see, it’s a truly one-of-a-kind New York experience. It’s a Sunday brunch like you’ve never seen before: with grilled meats, a carvery, pancake station, dessert corner, chocolate fondue, omelet maker, salads, breads, pastries, fruit and yogurt. I mean, literally everything you could hope for and want. Every meal starts with their warm, fresh-oven monkey bread, a true thing of beauty.
After you feast on the buffet (go, I dare you) with an insanely indulgent menu. Sunday specials include main courses like carrot cake pancakes with white chocolate cream cheese and vanilla bourbon syrup, a million variations of Eggs Benedict, including a hot lobster and caviar sensation, black truffle macaroni cheese, short rib burgers, Nola shrimp and grits. We say: put on your stretchy pants.
What they say: A chain of healthy and organic cafes in New York and LA, Butcher’s Daughter prides itself on the top quality food they serve. They treat fruit and vegetables like meat to a butcher – serving the best quality vegetarian dishes around. The cafe is committed to sourcing produce from local farms, helping to support the sustainability of the community – and you can really taste the difference.

What we say: For a healthy pit-stop in New York, you should definitely visit The Butcher’s Daughter. White-washed, dimly lit, trendy organic cafes have a NYC hipster vibe that makes you feel like you’re in Shoreditch, but with more almond milk. What we say: This hotel restaurant is a lot of fun. Full of American charm and a stunning, retro look, you’d be forgiven for wanting to Instagram everything you see. An American-diner-style bar and checkered floor give Kingside a low-key, all-American feel, with a wicked brunch menu to match. Add a fancy touch of lemon ricotta to your traditional American pancakes – so light and delicious, these pancakes are incredibly delicious. Their avocado on 7-grain toast is also a real beauty; With the addition of thick-cut salmon, it’s an elegant take on a classic brunch dish that shows the true class and refinement of the chefs in the kitchen. If you’re feeling crazy, they also do a breakfast pizza with aged cheddar and maple bacon, a local favorite. A must visit.
