The northern end of the Strip has been home to some of the original resorts built in the 1950s and 1960s, and many new developments are planned. Las Vegas just welcomed its newest resort complex in the summer of 2021: Resorts World Las Vegas.

You’ll also find the largest ground-level convention center north of Las Vegas, so if you’re traveling for business, you’ll likely spend some time here. This section of the Strip is also home to SAHARA, Wynn Las Vegas, Strat, Las Vegas Country Club and more. Spring Mountain Road (which would become Sands Avenue) is generally considered to divide the north and south ends of the Strip.
