Deadwood Alive Summer Schedule

Many establishments offer various forms of live music, karaoke, live DJs, comedy shows and nightlife entertainment. Be sure to visit the Bars and Saloons section to see where you can have some fun. Remember, there are no judgments and no regrets.

During the summer months, history comes to life on the cobblestone streets as re-enactors put on free daily shows, shootouts and narrated tours on a historic stagecoach. You can find the full schedule and locations here. In the evening, they present The Trial of Reenactor Jack McCall, a stage play based on the actual trial of Wild Bill’s killer. Trial’s performance has been part of the historic’s entertainment lineup since the 1920s, making it one of the longest-running stage shows in the country!

Head to Outlaw Square at 703 Main Street for free family-friendly entertainment during the week, like movies on Mondays, concerts on Wednesdays and History Night on Tuesdays, all summer long (except Sturgis Rally dates). Schedule may change due to weather. Celebrate the life and times of one of the most famous gunslingers—Wild Bill Hickok—at Wild Bill Days. See big-name artists and your favorite bands perform live concerts on Main Street throughout Saturday and Outlaw Square will host a free kick-off concert on Thursday, June 15. Along with great free concerts, you can also check out the National Dock Dogs. Wild Bill Days has something for all tastes and ages – and something for dogs! The National DockDogs Contest will return for its 15th year! Registration and practice both days at 10 am. Events include Big Air and Speed ​​Retrieval. Matches start every 1.5 hours at 11 am.

City Of Deadwood Cleans Up After The Major Winter Storm

Explore the gold pans and sluices on historic Main Street! Lead’s Northern Mountain Prospectors – offering free lessons on both Friday and Saturday, June 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can even “pen dirt” for a fee!
