Every night a display of water and light runs for 10 minutes every half hour until midnight. The songs, the light show and the choreography change over and over again so you don’t have to see the same show twice. Pick a seat and have a drink at one of the restaurants on the lake where the show is located or get there 10 minutes early for a premium front row spot next to the fence. I really enjoyed the show myself.

This engineering feat is hard to fathom as Dubai has built an extra 650km of coastline for its residents to work and play. This archipelago of islands juts out into the Persian Gulf and is entirely man-made.
