Places To Eat In Fargo – As some of you may already know, I spent most of the last half of my year working on the production of Cooking Channel. My job has taken me to places near and far in search of some of the best food in the country. Most people probably wouldn’t think twice about visiting Fargo OR North Dakota for that matter (considering that it’s generally the LAST State for people to visit from all 50 states). I’m here to say, these people are missing out on a lot. Fargo, along with North Dakota, has a lot to offer for those looking with an open mind and a keen appetite. Dear gourmets, I’ve compiled a short post to help you start your Fargo travels with my top four restaurant recommendations (in no particular order).
But first, to defend North Dakota (because I feel like she needs help getting down).

This national park is a wasteland: rolling hills and lots of countryside! Moreover, it offers nothing short of wildlife and adventure. I have witnessed more wild horses in this national park than anywhere else in the United States (so far). We also saw herds of bison and antelope, herds of prairie dogs, and a lone coyote roaming the high meadows. Theodore Roosevelt National Park offers all its visitors the most beautiful sunsets and numerous camping opportunities under the vast starry sky. The nearby town of Medora is full of old west charm, history, and events (more to come in a future blog, stay tuned).
Things To Eat & Drink This Month
This restaurant’s Scandinavian-Jewish roots bring original and freshly flavored dishes to its culturally prepared breakfast and lunch menu. The deli-style décor interspersed with antique quirks offers a modern yet 50s-style dining experience. I have tasted a number of delicious dishes, but a few I cannot leave without great praise:
Jewish soup with dough made from a mixture of matzah flour, scrambled eggs, water and oil. Enjoyable comfort food!
As a result, BernBaum’s had the most unique cuisine in Fargo at such a reasonable price. And did I mention?… Outstanding COFFEE! You can be sure to warm up and be energetic by taking a break at this star restaurant for the day.
Want an elaborate, advanced variation on every kid’s favorite grilled cheese sandwich? Run to Rosey’s Bistro and Bar now! Their menu is rounded off with a stack of assorted grilled cheese sandwiches and a dip bowl of one of their hot soups. When it was time to order I started to think twice (what I decided seemed VERY simple). However, my friendly waitress confirmed my decision when I asked for Fontina Truffle and said with a hearty smile, “This is the best!” More true words have never been spoken. This grilled cheese was and still is the best grilled cheese sandwich my tastebuds have ever experienced.
Fargo The Box
It is served with Fontina cheese and truffle oil, crispy pickles and ladle tomato soup on toasted sourdough bread.
Oven-roasted chicken breast, homemade spinach and artichoke dip, candied bacon, sliced provolone and roasted tomatoes, garlic herb butter on toasted sourdough bread
I didn’t think I could be happier with my meal, but when I sipped my French 75 (Minions Gin, freshly squeezed lime juice, homemade plain syrup, and champagne), I was immediately mistaken. Now I was extremely happy: I was very happy!
Their ambiance is of elegant industrialism and their service is impeccable. Their prices are moderate (compared to others on this list), but worth every penny to your senses (I promise). And unlike the popular grilled cheese chain MELT, the portions were just right for my taste: perfect balance, not a wasted overload.
Appearance Matters In The Fine Art Of Plating Food At Fargo Moorhead Restaurants
Four Best Restaurants in Fargo #3: Wurst Bier Hall Location: 630 1st Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102 Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11:00A-11:00P; Friday and Saturday 11:00A-Midnight
If the name didn’t give it away, this is the restaurant: Sausages! Beer! Sausages! Beer! Sausages! And yes, beer! If I had to describe Wurst Bier Hall in one word, it would inevitably be “wild”. Their menu does not include exotic wild game sausages, including a r.
Sausage (which my husband undoubtedly ordered for lunch). They also launch a vibrant beer garden where guests can choose Das Boot: a 90oz + glass boot filled to the brim with the beer of your choice. Hipster-inspired artwork, industrial floors and ceilings, and wild atmospheres make for a good time. Staff are just as wild (in the best way possible) as the rest of my images. They are an extroverted, very funny and fun-loving group. Not only did our team riot at Wurst Bier Hall, but we ate a pointless amount of food – I couldn’t breathe after so much inhale.
It’s inexpensive so you can order a variety of menu items cost-effectively to sample and share with the rest of your group.

Four Best Restaurants in Fargo #4: Boiler Room Location: 210 Roberts Alley, Fargo, ND Hours: Monday to Thursday 11:00A-Midnight or later; Friday 11:00A-2:00A; Saturday 9:00A-Midnight or later. *The kitchens close at 11:30 every day.
Hidden behind a downtown street, this upscale tavern has the most convivial and comfortable style brunch fare (served ALL DAY). Personally, I fell for their special charm
. This goes without saying, each of their menu items really tempted me and I definitely sampled their famous ones.
. Each meal was as satisfying as the last. So much so that I have no choice but to applaud: LAST BRUNCH POINT.
Ishtar Mediterranean Cuisine Now Open In Downtown Fargo
To add a little more to the already excessive coldness of the Boiler Room, there is a hidden railing inside its walls (
) will open soon! I sneaked a peak and this is such a cozy and quirky gem.
Boiler Room signature romchata French toast served with banana butter sauce – scrambled eggs and bacon
Homemade cheesy tater tots with scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, cheddar cheese, bacon, and a dash of spicy maple aioli
Best Late Night Eats In Fargo
Here are the gourmet fanatics: my top four restaurant recommendations when visiting Fargo, ND. Fargo’s industrial, small-town vibe will welcome all guests with open arms, and the locals will surely let you know you’re invited to the party (Fargo is EVERYTHING about the party, people)! Despite the cold (and I mean COLD) winters, the original food and plentiful drinks combined with the warmth of its lovely population will still leave you in a good mood.
