You come here primarily for the sushi—it’s the only place we get sushi in Ocean Beach, and they have a great spread of classic and innovative rolls. Rast Roll for us, with spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, lemon, tobiko, kizami nori, microgreens and soy-yuzu.

It’s Raw Poke Shop is your one-stop shop if you’re looking for a delicious, no-nonsense meal while cruising through Ocean Beach. It’s a family-friendly place, and they serve authentic Hawaiian cuisine every Tuesday through Sunday, from noon to 6 p.m. You’ll have plenty of delicious and fresh options to choose from here, but we recommend trying at least a couple of the dishes with a side of rice and chili garlic edamame. Cash only!

There are several breakfast spots in Ocean Beach, and Breakfast Republic makes some of the best. They have 10 locations in the city, eight of which are in San Diego.
