Of The Most Delicious Places To Eat + Drink In Great Falls, Montana — Silly.little.kiwi

Great Falls has changed a lot in the twelve years since I showed up on my blue diode as a college freshman, and that includes the number and variety of places to eat and drink. The food scene in Great Falls has definitely expanded and stepped up its game including new breweries, fancy bars, and patio restaurants.

Before I give you the most delicious places to eat in Great Falls, I thought it only makes sense to point out the fact that I didn’t list a supper club in my roundup. To be honest, supper clubs aren’t really my thing. Supper clubs aren’t really known for being delicious as much as they are for their weird culinary concoctions. Despite their banality, supper clubs are part of Montana’s cultural fabric and the tradition of the western United States.

For those of you who don’t know, a supper club is a restaurant that doubles as a social club and is usually found in small town/rural locations. Think old-time homemade, surf ‘n’ turf food. The ravioli is finished off with an ice cream sundae with a side of yolk… that kind of thing, you eat it? Supper Clubs put on a sophisticated, albeit old-fashioned, front but they have an affordable price point.

Fun fact: The late travel and food legend, Anthony Bourdain, once dined with my philosophy professor, Aaron Perrett, at a supper club in an undisclosed location.

Halftime Sports Bar

It’s no secret that when I was going to university in Montana, I worked at Crooked Tree. So, it’s probably fair to say that I’m completely biased when I say that Crooked Tree is my favorite place for a breakfast date. Yes, the food on the menu is lighter than the other breakfast foods on this list, but it’s delicious. Every pastry is perfection. The light from the floor-to-ceiling windows is absolutely breathtaking in the morning hours. The open loft floor plan adds to the elegant interior of the space and the beautiful ceramic dishware enhances the sheen. But, it’s coffee, guys. This is coffee. Excellent, brewed to perfection, served with allah handmade espresso pulls – it’s just *sigh* incredible. I’m also a big fan of spinach and feta breakfast biscuits.

Hot Tip: Try the Cinnamon Ombre—I actually created this signature drink during a barista competition and it’s my coffee-making legacy.

Electric City was new on the scene when I returned to Great Falls. Almost immediately, it became a regular lunch spot thanks to its delicious sandwiches and hot soups. Most of the time, I like the concept of picking a mug from the shelf and piping hot drip coffee to fill it up. There’s something about that “I’m a local, this is my favorite mug at Electric” feeling that really resonates with the sentimental monster in me.

Avocado toast on a sunny patio overlooking the river – what could be better? Not much, except for a bowl of albanco quinoa or their flat whites served with homemade apple cake.
